Trade Assistant / Construction Worker - Barossa Valley

Varied construction work with the opportunity to learn, develop and progress. 

Wonganella Constructions is a Barossa-based construction company specialising in commercial and industrial roofing and cladding, structural steel erection and steel building construction. 

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Trade Assistant / Construction Worker to join our team.

This is a hands-on role offering plenty of variety and would suit someone with some construction experience, or a practical person looking to build their skills and develop a long-term career in the industry. 

The Role 

Working alongside our experienced tradespeople, you will assist with: 

• Commercial and industrial roofing 

• Roof and wall cladding 

• Structural steel erection 

• Shed and industrial building construction 

• Working with cranes and lifting operations 

• EWPs and access equipment 

• General installation and construction activities 

• Industrial, water infrastructure, quarry and larger construction sites 

Our work is varied, so you won't necessarily be doing the same thing every day or working on the same type of project. 

About You 

We're looking for someone who: 

• Is reliable and turns up on time 

• Has a strong work ethic 

• Enjoys practical, hands-on work 

• Is comfortable working outdoors and at heights 

• Can take instruction and work well within a team 

• Takes pride in doing things properly 

• Is willing to learn new skills 

• Wants a long-term opportunity to develop and progress 

Previous construction experience is preferred but not essential for the right person .

Required

• Construction White Card 

• Current driver's licence 

• Reliable transport

Highly Regarded 

• Working at Heights

• EWP Yellow Card

• EWP over 11m (WP)

• Dogging (DG)

• Forklift (LF)

• Telehandler experience 

• HR driver's licence 

• Previous roofing, cladding or structural steel experience 

You don't need to hold every ticket. For the right person, there will be opportunities to develop additional skills and qualifications.
