Pit Technician (Open-cut)

What You'll Be Doing

Join our Technical Services team and play a critical role in maximising ore recovery and supporting efficient mining operations. As an Open Pit Technician, you'll work closely with Geology, Survey and Mining teams to deliver accurate ore spotting, grade control, sampling and field data collection activities.

You'll assist with drilling programs, monitor mining activities, support survey work, maintain data quality, and provide the information needed to optimise mining performance. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in the field and thrives in a fast-paced mining environment.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Current Australian Manual C Class Driver's Licence (MR or HR highly regarded).

• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.

• Computer skills to accurately collect, record and manage field data.

• Ability to work outdoors in remote and demanding conditions.

• Ability and willingness to work night shift when required.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred

• Experience working FIFO and within an operating mine environment.

• Previous exposure to open pit mining operations.

• Experience in ore spotting, sampling or grade control activities.

• Survey assistance or geological field experience.

• First Aid certification.
