LABOURER

CivilandScape has recently created an opening for an experienced general labourer who has worked in the landscape and civil space or similar. The successful candidate will be working around Sydney’s inner city and outer suburbs providing services to a divers range of projects from high end residential to high-rise city centre commercial projects. CivilandScape are looking for a knowledgeable, well presented and diligent applicant to immediately join our team.

PREREQUISITES

The candidate must fulfill the following prerequisites to be able to apply for this position:

3 years’ experience minimumHave a sound understanding of WHSE and operate in line with NSW WHSE practicesCurrent White Card NSW

THE ROLE

The role generally requires the candidate to be someone who:

Present well in their attire and manner particularly when liaising with clients and in front of the general publicOperates efficiently, diligently and who can work independently unsupervisedHas good communication skills when liaising with the team and our clients’

The role entails the following daily / weekly duties :

Generally assisting foreman, tradesman and other colleagues with day-to-day tasksClean work areas from debris and other construction materialsConstruct walkways and patios, walls, fences, decks, posts, etcDig ditches or trenches and perform land clearing activitiesPlant and maintain garden beds and lawnsLoad and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscapeTransport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting/carryingPerform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections,Lubricating and cleaning machines and tools on a daily basisOperate various tools including: chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurementEquipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc

ROLE OFFER

Working hours are generally between 7:00am and 3:30pm from Monday to Friday with overtime and Saturday when requiredAnnual salary will be based on experience
