The Role
The Gardener - Handyperson plays a vital role in creating and maintaining a safe, attractive and welcoming school environment that supports positive learning outcomes for students and staff. As key members of the school team, the successful applicant will be responsible for the upkeep and presentation of the school grounds, including turf areas, garden beds, shrubs, trees and other soft landscaping features, as well as hard landscaping areas such as courts, paving and sports facilities.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, thrives when working independently and enjoys maintaining and improving outdoor and indoor spaces. The successful applicant will perform general gardening duties, identify and complete jobs proactively and competently, perform minor maintenance/repair and handyperson tasks in accordance with the Department of Education’s policies and guidelines.
