About the Opportunity
As Lines and Signs Leading Hand, you'll play a central role in Mitchell Shire Council's Roads Maintenance team — operating the Council's Lines and Signs truck and a broad range of heavy plant and equipment while taking day-to-day responsibility for directing crew members across signage installation, urban drainage maintenance, and general road construction activities. Working alongside the Roads Maintenance Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include:
This is a hands-on leadership role that calls for strong plant operating credentials, a practical approach to managing a small field team, and the organisational discipline to keep on top of paperwork and compliance — all while delivering real value to the residents and stakeholders who depend on Mitchell Shire's road network every day.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity with a fortnightly RDO. Remuneration begins at $78.3K to $81.8K (Band 4) plus superannuation.
