Hotel Metropole operates a dynamic multi-site retail liquor network across three outlets – Cheers Liquor Barn, Drive Through, and Cheers Bottle Shop at Fresh Fields Shopping Centre. Collectively, these high-performing, community-driven outlets provide a comprehensive range of beer, wine, and spirits. They uphold strong retail standards while delivering outstanding service to both locals and visitors seven days a week.

THE ROLE

As Assistant Supervisor, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring our bottle shop runs smoothly, efficiently, and with a focus on customer satisfaction. This role offers a great opportunity to enhance your retail and leadership skills while supporting daily operations and maintaining high standards of service.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Lead and Manage: Oversee the daily operations, including stock control, merchandising, and customer service, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
• Support and Mentor: Help lead a team of retail staff, providing guidance, motivation, and training to help them achieve their best.
• Enhance Customer Experience: Deliver excellent customer service, resolve issues, and create a welcoming shopping environment for all customers.
• Inventory and Stock Management: Monitor stock levels, manage orders, and ensure that shelves are well-stocked and products are priced correctly.
• Sales and Promotions: Implement strategies to drive sales and promote special offers, ensuring maximum profitability.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to all relevant liquor licensing regulations and health & safety guidelines, keeping the store safe for both customers and staff.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol): Required to ensure safe and responsible alcohol service in the store.
