Operations Director

About the Role
This newly created Operations Director role is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of the business — ensuring safe, efficient and profitable delivery of products and projects. Working closely with the Global General Manager, you'll lead operational teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure resources, processes and systems are aligned to support the business' growth objectives. You'll also provide operational input into contract execution, pricing and risk and lead workforce planning to optimise outcomes across the business.

About The Business
Our client is a Perth-based manufacturer of proprietary engineering solutions, primarily serving the mining sector across Asia Pacific. As a local success story, the business attracted the interest of a global leader in an aligned sector leading to an acquisition. The acquisition has resulted in a major funding, infrastructure and sales channels boost to the business that presents significant growth upside, particularly in overseas markets along with industries outside of mining.

About You

• Significant leadership experience in business management, operations, manufacturing, mining services or engineering
• Strong commercial acumen, with experience influencing cross-functional decision-making
• Engineering and manufacturing background preferred
• Critical thinking and strong judgement
• Exceptional skills in business analysis, finance and operations management, with the ability to communicate complex ideas across all levels of the business
• Knowledge of quality assurance standards and modern lean manufacturing systems
