Overseeing the established education department on a broad perspective
Monitoring incidents, complaints, trends and opportunities for improvement
Supporting clinical risk management and implementation of corrective actions
Preparing quality and governance reports for relevant committees and Executive leadership
Promoting a strong culture of patient safety, accountability and continuous improvement
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across the hospital
Responsibility of reporting systems relevant to quality and infection control
This is an opportunity to:
Be part of a growing and evolving private hospital
Have genuine influence over quality and clinical governance
Develop and strengthen infection prevention and control systems
Shape the hospital's education and professional development framework
Lead meaningful quality improvement initiatives
Work directly with Executive and senior clinical leadership
Make a visible contribution to patient safety and clinical outcomes
Develop your leadership and governance expertise across multiple areas
Be part of a supportive, collaborative and forward-thinking environment
We are looking for a passionate and proactive clinician who enjoys improving systems, developing people and driving better outcomes.
You will ideally have:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Experience in quality management, clinical governance and/or infection prevention and control
Experience in clinical education and staff development (not essential but advantageous)
Working towards Postgraduate qualification in Infection Prevention and Control or already obtained
Understanding of Australian healthcare standards, accreditation and regulatory requirements
Strong clinical governance and risk management knowledge
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
A proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements
Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse data and identify trends
A passion for patient safety, quality improvement and developing others
Previous experience within a private hospital environment will be highly regarded.
