Barista

About the role

Bertoni is a high-volume, fast-paced café in the heart of Balmain, and we're looking for an absolute gun barista to join our team. We need someone who can handle serious volume, stay calm under pressure and consistently pump out quality coffee — fast.

Key responsibilities

• Handle serious volume and maintain quality during heavy rush periods

• Consistently pump out quality coffee fast

• Maintain excellent milk texture and latte art

• Apply strong knowledge of espresso extraction and dialling in

• Work independently and hold your own on the machine

• Keep the workspace clean, organised and reliable

• Communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude

• Jump in and help the team when needed

About you

• Minimum 2–3 years high-volume café experience

• Confident handling 8–10kg+ of coffee per day

• Fast, efficient and highly organised on the machine

• Able to maintain quality during a heavy rush

• Can work independently and hold their own on the machine

• Clean, organised and reliable

• Great communication and a positive attitude

• Fluent English

• Team player who isn't afraid to jump in and help when needed
