We are currently recruiting a driven and detail-oriented professional to join our Group Risk function. As a Senior Analyst in our specialist Financial Crime team, you’ll make an impact by:

• Empowering leadership by delivering clear, accurate, and timely insights on financial crime risk, control effectiveness, and emerging threats.
• Translating complex data into meaningful risk intelligence that supports executive decision-making and governance oversight.
• Enhancing our capabilities by helping to develop and maintain the bank’s financial crime management information (MI) framework.
• Collaborating across the business to ensure the quality and integrity of financial crime reporting inputs and drive a more quantitative approach to risk management.

The Senior Analyst, FC Governance and Reporting reports to the Senior Manager – Financial Crime Reporting. In this key specialist role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the Group MLRO, Chief Risk Officer, and Senior Leadership receive high-quality reporting on the bank's financial crime risk profile. You will help translate complex data into meaningful intelligence that aligns with regulatory expectations and supports risk-based decision-making.

Key accountabilities include:

• Executive Reporting: Assist with the preparation and delivery of financial crime risk reporting to senior management, executive committees, and the board risk committee.
• MI Framework: Help develop and maintain the bank’s financial crime management information framework, including metrics, dashboards, and key risk indicators.
• Risk Insights: Analyse financial crime data to identify trends, emerging risks, and control issues, providing forward-looking insights to support proactive risk management.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the Financial Crime Leadership and Operations teams to ensure timely, comprehensive, and accurate financial crime risk reporting.

Essential

• Experience in financial crime risk management within the financial services industry.
• Experience preparing executive-level risk reporting and management information.
• A solid understanding of financial crime risk frameworks and governance structures.
• The ability to translate complex financial crime data into clear insights for senior stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant financial crime laws and regulations (e.g., from AUSTRAC).

Highly desirable

• Experience with financial crime analytics and reporting tools.
• Experience utilizing data and analytics to inform financial crime risk reporting.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or a Financial Crime Industry qualification (such as ACAMS, AFCS).

This is a permanent full-time position located in Melbourne, Bendigo, Adelaide, Sydney or Brisbane.
