Senior Project Manager - Civil

At Pentacon, we deliver complex civil infrastructure projects across Queensland, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of some of our most important work.

This is more than a project delivery role. We're looking for a commercially minded leader who can build strong client relationships, mentor project teams, manage contractual risk and drive outstanding project outcomes.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the delivery of major civil construction projects while providing leadership and guidance to Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors.

You'll be accountable for project performance from award through to completion, ensuring commercial success, operational excellence and exceptional client service.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the successful delivery of major civil construction projects

• Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to Project Managers and project teams

• Manage project financial performance, forecasting and profitability

• Oversee contract administration, variations and commercial risk

• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships

• Develop project strategies, construction methodologies and delivery plans

• Ensure projects are delivered safely on schedule and within budget

• Identify business opportunities and support future tender submissions

• Drive continuous improvement across project delivery and operational performance

What You'll Bring

• Local to the Mackay Region essential

• Extensive experience managing large civil construction projects

• Strong leadership and people management capability

• High-level commercial and contractual knowledge

• Demonstrated experience administering construction contracts

• Excellent planning, programming and resource management skills

• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities

• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and cost control

• A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor and develop others

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar (preferred)
