General Nursery Hand

About Us:

GHC Nursery is a young wholesale nursery growing native tubestock for revegetation projects as well as residential and commercial landscaping lines. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Nursery Hand to help expand our growing business. We are passionate about cultivating high-quality plants and providing excellent service for our wholesale customers, all in a great work environment.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

· Planting, potting, and pruning a wide variety of plants.

· General nursery maintenance, including weeding, sweeping, and tidying.

· Watering, fertilizing, and other activities to ensureplant health e.g. monitoring and management of pests and diseases (under instruction).

· Assisting in the preparation of orders and loading/unloading deliveries.

Nursery Hand attributes:

· Ability to perform physical tasks consistently such as lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

· Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.

· Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.

· Strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

· A current Driver’s licence and independent transport to work (essential)

· A passion for plants and a keen interest in horticulture (desirable).

· Previous experience in a nursery, gardening, or related field (desirable).

Pay: $26.44 – $34.89 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
