Within Arup’s Resilience, Security & Risk (RSR) team, our Risk & Process Safety offering provides specialist expertise across Fire Risk, Dangerous Goods and Process Safety. We help clients understand and manage major hazard risks, dangerous goods compliance and fire safety challenges through risk-based engineering, supporting safer and more resilient operations, facilities and infrastructure.
We are looking for a Fire Risk Engineer to join our specialist team and help solve our clients’ most complex risk and process safety challenges across a diverse range of markets and sectors throughout ANZ and APAC. The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in either Fire Risk or Dangerous Goods, supported by a strong grounding in risk-based engineering.
The Opportunity
Delivering technically excellent project outcomes tailored to our clients’ needs within the successful candidate’s specialist discipline. Developing knowledge and capability across the broader Risk & Process Safety disciplines, including Fire Risk, Dangerous Goods and Process Safety. Providing formal and informal leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineer Delivering technically excellent project outcomes tailored to our clients’ needs within the successful candidate’s specialist discipline. Developing knowledge and capability across the broader Risk & Process Safety disciplines, including Fire Risk, Dangerous Goods and Process Safety. Is this role right for you?
Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering; Relevant industry experience in Fire Risk, Dangerous Goods and/or Process Safety within a consulting business environment; Be fully aware of all legislative requirements and other regulations governing Work Health and Safety; Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies; Preference for Chartership or equivalent professional engineering accreditation in the relevant Engineering discipline, or progression towards achieving Chartership. Prior experience in undertaking first principles analysis, performance assessments and advisory services within the built environment.
