As a TAFE / Toyota Teacher you will have the opportunity to impart your extensive industry knowledge and experience to students using a variety of delivery methods including in the classroom, online and workplace. You will also enjoy the satisfaction of giving students from diverse backgrounds the skills they need to succeed at work and in their future.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the TAFE Queensland Automotive Educational Delivery team on a Casual basis. The successful applicant will become a member of the existing team delivering the nationally recognised Toyota Network Training program based in New South Wales. The specialised Toyota training program provides certificate three pathway for apprentices and school-based students who are currently employed within a Toyota Dealership.
As a TAFE Educator / Toyota Trainer in Automotive space, you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry persons by sharing your extensive industry knowledge in the classroom or other educational settings.
It would be advantageous for the applicant to have worked in multi-faceted roles within a dealership environment and having the experience, depth of knowledge of dealership methodologies e.g. Processes, technology and people.
This position reports to the Educational Team Leader and the Business Manager.

We are seeking a trade-qualified professional to join our team as a Teacher in Auto Mechanical. The ideal candidate will have:
• Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
• Up-to-date knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that inform the training and assessment process.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in vocational training, learning, and assessment, including competency-based training and assessment.

Additionally, to become a TAFE Queensland teacher you must hold, or be willing to obtain, a qualification in adult education. Primarily this qualification is TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent.
Please note applicants need not necessarily possess teaching experience, as the right candidate may be trained and developed through coaching, mentoring and partnering. Importance is placed on possession of the appropriate qualifications, industry experience and the right attitude.
