Dental Assistant

About the role

Moviliti Dental Care is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team in Windsor, QLD 4030. This is a full-time position where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in providing high-quality dental services. As a Dental Assistant, you will be at the heart of our practice, ensuring smooth clinic operations and contributing to a positive patient experience. This role is based on-site at our Windsor location and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist dentists during clinical procedures, including sterilisation and preparation of instruments and equipment

• Provide chairside support during patient treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety

• Maintain accurate and organised patient records and dental charts

• Greet patients, schedule appointments and manage reception duties

• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care

• Maintain a clean and hygienic treatment environment in compliance with infection control protocols

• Sterilise and store dental instruments according to established procedures

• Process patient payments and manage basic administrative tasks

• Assist with radiography and other diagnostic procedures as required

• Support inventory management and ordering of dental supplies

What we're looking for

• Completion of a recognised Dental Assistant course or equivalent qualification

• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it

• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and infection control protocols

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members

• Excellent organisational and time management abilities

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting

• Proficiency with dental practice management software is advantageous

• A genuine passion for supporting oral healthcare and patient wellbeing
