About the role
Lantrak is looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Specialist to join our team and take ownership of recruitment across the business.
With more than 60 years of experience, Lantrak is an established leader in materials management, transport, plant hire and construction solutions, operating across Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.
As our business continues to grow, so does our need to find great people.
This is an opportunity for a recruiter who enjoys more than simply managing advertised vacancies. We’re looking for someone who can actively search the market, headhunt great people and build genuine talent pipelines across our business.
You’ll work closely with managers across Lantrak to understand what they need today, what they’re likely to need tomorrow, and where the best people in the market are.
Working as part of our People, Culture & Communications function, you’ll take ownership of recruitment across multiple business units and states.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing recruitment end-to-end, from briefing through to offer
Proactively sourcing and headhunting candidates rather than relying solely on job advertisements
Building and maintaining talent pools for recurring and hard-to-fill roles
Recruiting across operational, technical, professional and leadership positions
Running targeted recruitment campaigns through SEEK, LinkedIn and other relevant channels
Screening, interviewing and coordinating reference checks
Developing strong relationships with candidates and maintaining contact with high-quality people in the market
Partnering with managers to understand upcoming workforce requirements
Improving the consistency and quality of recruitment processes across the business
Working alongside our marketing function to strengthen Lantrak’s employer brand and recruitment campaigns
Building a strong understanding of the construction, transport, quarrying and infrastructure talent markets
We’re looking for someone who is naturally proactive, confident and commercially minded.
You may currently be working within an agency environment and looking to move in-house, or already working in internal talent acquisition and wanting greater ownership.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
Previous recruitment or talent acquisition experience
Strong direct sourcing and headhunting capability
Confidence approaching passive candidates
Experience recruiting across a range of roles and seniority levels
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
The ability to understand a hiring manager’s requirements and challenge the brief where appropriate
A practical, organised approach to managing multiple vacancies
Experience within construction, infrastructure, transport, logistics, quarrying, engineering or similar industries would be highly regarded
Most importantly, we want someone who genuinely enjoys finding good people.
Someone who will know who is in the market, who might be open to a conversation, and who we should be talking to before we even have a vacancy advertised.
This isn’t a role where you’ll inherit a rigid recruitment function.
You’ll have the opportunity to help shape how Lantrak approaches talent acquisition as the business continues to expand.
You’ll work directly with managers across the business, recruit across a diverse range of roles and projects, and have the freedom to build networks and talent pipelines that support Lantrak’s longer-term growth.
For the right recruiter, it’s an opportunity to move beyond filling jobs and build an internal recruitment capability that has a genuine impact on the business.
If you’re a recruiter who loves the search, enjoys headhunting and gets satisfaction from finding the person everyone else struggled to find, we’d like to hear from you.
Apply now to join Lantrak.
