Domestic Cleaning /Home Care Worker

About the role

Home Care Living Pty Ltd is seeking compassionate and reliable Domestic Cleaning/Home Care Workers to join our team. Based in Sutherland Shire & St George areas NSW, this role offers the flexibility of casual work whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of aged and disabled clients. You will provide essential domestic cleaning and personal care support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and dignity whilst creating a safe and comfortable living environment. This position is crucial to our mission of enabling clients to live well at home with the support they need.

Key responsibilities

• Perform domestic cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and bathroom cleaning to maintain safe and hygienic home environments

• Assist clients with household tasks such as laundry, dishes and general tidying

• Provide personal care support as required, including assistance with activities of daily living

• Build positive, respectful relationships with clients and treat them with dignity and compassion

• Follow client-specific instructions and care plans to ensure individual needs are met

• Report any concerns or changes in client wellbeing to management

• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required

• Adhere to health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures

• Respect client privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times

What we're looking for

• A genuine passion for supporting aged and disabled individuals with empathy and respect

• Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or domestic cleaning (desirable but training provided)

• Current or willingness to obtain a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) and/or disability worker clearance

• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Excellent personal hygiene and attention to detail

• Reliability and punctuality with the ability to commit to casual shifts

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Physical fitness to perform cleaning and personal care tasks

• A non-judgmental approach and respect for client diversity and preferences

• Current driver's licence and access to reliable vehicle
