Manager, Fund Financial Reporting

About the Role 

As Manager, Fund Financial Reporting, you will take ownership of the accurate and timely delivery of financial statements, distributions and regulatory reporting across our managed fund portfolio. This is a hands-on role where you’ll personally prepare and review key reporting deliverables, including financial statements, distributions and ICR calculations, and BAS/GST/RITC workpapers.  

Working closely with Fund Accounting, Tax, external auditors, trustees and tax agents, you will ensure reporting meets Corporations Act, AASB and ASIC requirements. You will also have the opportunity to establish and shape the function, with additional analyst support introduced as our fund portfolio continues to grow. 

Key responsibilities include 

• Own production and review of periodic and annual financial statements for managed funds prepared in Accuri, ensuring compliance with AASB, Corporations Act and ASIC disclosure requirements. 
• Reconcile reporting outputs to the accounting and reporting books of record (ABOR/MBOR) in FIS InvestOne. 
• Manage distribution calculations including income and tax components, and produce AMMA/AMIT statements. 
• Prepare and review ICR (Indirect Cost Ratio) calculations and fund cost disclosures, with distribution and reporting work papers fully reconciled to accounting records. 
• Own BAS, GST and RITC calculations, work papers and lodgement, coordinating sign-off with the Senior Tax Manager and clients’ trustees and tax agents. 
• Support reasonableness testing and period-end tax reporting. 
• Coordinate the financial statement audit process as primary auditor liaison, ensuring clean audit outcomes. 
• Establish reporting controls, calendars and templates, and support onboarding and transition of new client reporting into the operating model. 

About you! 

You'll bring: 

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; CA/CPA qualified or well progressed 
• Demonstrated experience in fund reporting/fund accounting within fund administration or asset management 
• Hands-on experience preparing financial statements, distributions and ICR for managed funds, including BAS/GST/RITC and audit coordination 
• Strong technical accounting and disclosure knowledge, with high attention to detail and review discipline 
• Confidence working with clients, auditors and other key stakeholders  
• The ability to balance reporting quality, efficiency and positive client outcomes 
• Experience using financial reporting platforms such as Accuri and FIS InvestOne along with advance Excel skills.   
• A collaborative approach, with the capability to coach and support analysis as the team expands.
