About the Role:

As a Conveyancing Clerk & Paralegal, you will provide administrative and transactional support to our property and commercial teams.

You will provide support across a broad range of residential property and commercial matters. A key part of the role will involve assisting with client onboarding, including opening new files, undertaking AML/CTF compliance processes, coordinating verification and identification requirements, preparing fee proposals and costs disclosure documentation and otherwise providing support to our lawyers as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triage new enquiries and matters, including gathering initial information, undertaking conflict checks and facilitating a smooth client intake process.
• Assist with residential property and commercial transactions.
• Open new client files and maintain accurate matter records and file management systems.
• Assist with client onboarding, including AML/CTF compliance requirements, client due diligence, verification of identity and other regulatory obligations.
• Prepare fee proposals, cost disclosures and cost agreements in accordance with statutory and professional obligations.
• Assist with the preparation and progression of conveyancing matters, including carrying out searches and preparing correspondence and documentation, and assisting with electronic settlement requirements (including using PEXA and Duties Online platforms).
• Liaise with clients, real estate agents, financiers and other stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
• Coordinate key dates and assist in ensuring matters progress efficiently and deadlines are met.
• Ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures.
• Provide general administrative and transactional support.
• Act as secondary reception support, managing incoming calls, client enquiries and front-of-house during periods when the receptionist is unavailable (including during leave periods or peak demand).

Key Skills & Attributes:

• Demonstrated conveyancing experience is essential, with experience using PEXA and Duties Online platforms highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of all conveyancing processes and procedures.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple files and competing priorities.
