About the Role:
The Instructional Designer role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a meaningful impact in the aged care sector, collaborating with a dynamic team to drive positive change and enhance learning outcomes.
This is a full-time fixed-term role with an end date of 27 February 2027. The role can be done from anywhere in Australia.
About You:
As an instructional designer you will play a pivotal role in developing engaging digital learning solutions for the aged care sector. Collaborating closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders, this position is responsible for creating interactive content that caters to the diverse needs of learners.
You will be responsible for the following key outcomes:
Design and develop engaging eLearning content, including new content creation and conversion of existing materials.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including SMEs, learning and development teams, and end-users.
Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create effective learning experiences.
Develop design concepts to support contemporary learning requirements and organisational initiatives.
Work with SMEs and Curriculum Writers to develop eLearning activities and assessments
Manage projects, coordinate SMEs, and deliver projects on time.
Incorporate usage data and learner feedback into continuous improvement processes.
Maintain quality assurance processes and protect intellectual property in eLearning materials.
To be successful you will have:
TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent in adult learning theory and instructional design
At least 5 years of experience in instructional design
Experienced with e-Learning authoring tools (Articulate 360), storyboarding, digital development
Experience with graphics, audio, and video recording/editing programs
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and current trends in training
Experience in presenting and training in-person and online
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Strong time management and problem-solving skills
Experience in managing multiple projects and competing priorities
Strong work ethic and passion for aged care.
