Clinical Nurse Consultant

Subacute, Aged and Community Services (SAACS) is committed to delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care across a diverse range of community, aged care and subacute services. As the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Patient Safety, you will provide expert clinical leadership to strengthen safety and quality across the SACS stream. Key responsibilities include leading patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, coordinating incident management and serious event investigations, managing patient feedback and complaints, analysing safety data to inform service improvements, and delivering education and guidance to clinicians and stakeholders. Working across multiple sites and services, you will champion a proactive safety culture and support the delivery of safe, high-quality care for consumers.

• Broad clinical and operational experience within a complex health care environment encompassing acute, sub-acute and primary health services; with a demonstrated understanding of patient safety.
• Extensive knowledge of and commitment to continuous quality improvement and accreditation processes including risk management, undertaking investigations, preparation of witness statements, National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and other accreditation activities.
• Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication, mediation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders with a demonstrated ability to influence and motivate staff.

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

$118,297 to $125,543 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: 

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
