About the role
Subacute, Aged and Community Services (SAACS) is committed to delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care across a diverse range of community, aged care and subacute services. Working collaboratively with clinical and operational teams, the service drives continuous improvement, patient safety and excellence in healthcare outcomes.
As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The RoleAs the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Patient Safety, you will provide expert clinical leadership to strengthen safety and quality across the SACS stream. Key responsibilities include leading patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, coordinating incident management and serious event investigations, managing patient feedback and complaints, analysing safety data to inform service improvements, and delivering education and guidance to clinicians and stakeholders. Working across multiple sites and services, you will champion a proactive safety culture and support the delivery of safe, high-quality care for consumers.

Details of appointmentPermanent part time, day worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary$118,297 to $125,543 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications
Current Driver’s Licence
