About The Role
Reporting to the Manager International Student Recruitment, the Senior Coordinator International Marketing and Recruitment leads the development and implementation of strategic international marketing and recruitment activities to promote Melbourne Polytechnic’s education offerings, drive international student growth and improve recruitment outcomes.
You will lead staff responsible for international marketing and recruitment activities and oversee education agent networks, market engagement, recruitment initiatives and partnerships. Working across Melbourne Polytechnic and with external partners, you will use market intelligence and sector knowledge to identify opportunities, strengthen Melbourne Polytechnic’s international profile and support sustainable international student recruitment.
This position suits an experienced international student recruitment or marketing professional with demonstrated leadership capability, strong market knowledge and the ability to build productive relationships across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Do
Lead, motivate, coach and supervise international marketing and recruitment staff, ensuring recruitment activities are appropriately resourced, supported, targeted, measured and reportedLead the development and delivery of international marketing, recruitment and regional partner engagement plans, including market-specific strategies, campaigns and activities aligned with Melbourne Polytechnic’s International StrategyDevelop and manage Melbourne Polytechnic’s international education agent representative network, building productive relationships with education agents, education partners and other international recruitment stakeholders and monitoring agent performancePlan, budget and undertake marketing and recruitment activities in Australia and overseas, representing Melbourne Polytechnic at exhibitions, seminars and promotional activities and developing marketing materials and communications for different channels, audiences and target marketsConduct market research, intelligence, analysis and planning to identify international student demand, emerging markets and recruitment opportunities, and provide market insights to support product development and longer-term recruitment strategiesLead projects and partnerships supporting departmental objectives and emerging international opportunities, including the development and implementation of international student scholarships and pricing strategiesPlan and monitor international marketing and recruitment budgets, optimise resources against agreed priorities and monitor and report on recruitment activities and outcomesMaintain knowledge of Melbourne Polytechnic course offerings, admission requirements and relevant international education regulatory requirements, including the ESOS framework, National Code and student visa requirementsBuild effective relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support international recruitment outcomesLead and contribute to innovation and continuous improvement of international marketing and recruitment practices, processes and systems based on analysis, feedback and stakeholder collaboration

What You'll Bring
A relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business, international education or a related discipline, and/or equivalent relevant professional experienceDemonstrated leadership capability,including experience motivating, coaching and supervising staff and effectively managing financial and human resourcesDemonstrated ability to lead and execute projects, managing resources effectively and delivering outcomes aligned with project objectivesDemonstrated success in international student recruitment or marketing, including developing and implementing effective international marketing and recruitment strategies across diverse markets and recruitment channelsStrong market research and analytical capability, with the ability to use market intelligence to inform recruitment strategies and recommendationsStrong problem-solving, organisational and planning skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgement and manage multiple priorities and activities concurrentlyHigh-level written, verbal and cross-cultural communication skills, with strong presentation and representation skillsHigh-level interpersonal and collaborative skills, with demonstrated ability to develop productive relationships with education agents, partners, prospective students and other internal and external stakeholdersStrong influencing and negotiation skills and a demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of service to students and stakeholdersDemonstrated experience in international student recruitment, marketing or communications within a tertiary education environmentSound understanding of the Australian vocational and higher education sectors and factors affecting international education and student recruitmentSound understanding of legislation and regulatory frameworks relevant to international students, including the ESOS framework and National Code, and an understanding of student visa requirements and factors affecting international student visa processing
