Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

About the role

Permanent full-time Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic position with LEVRAM Heavy Diesels, based in Melbourne's South East. LEVRAM Heavy Diesels specialises in heavy diesel servicing and repairs across Melbourne, supporting trucks, earthmoving machinery and heavy fleets across construction, earthmoving, agriculture and related industries. You will work both in the field and in the workshop across Greater Melbourne and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers and earthmoving machinery

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults

• Attend emergency breakdowns on-site and roadside

• Conduct inspections and identify potential issues

• Maintain service records, job cards and compliance documentation

• Coordinate parts, tools and job scheduling

• Provide professional, customer-focused service

About you

• Trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)

• Experience servicing and repairing trucks and/or earthmoving machinery

• Strong diagnostic skills across engines, driveline, hydraulics, braking and cooling systems

• Able to safely and independently handle field breakdowns, including after-hours call-outs when required

• Current driver's licence; HR or above highly regarded

• White Card or willingness to obtain

• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

• Reliable, self-motivated and a clear communicator
