About the role
ECU Student Guild | Full‑Time, Ongoing | Joondalup Campus
The Edith Cowan University (ECU) Student Guild is seeking a professional, organised and customer-focused Campus Support Officer to join our Operations Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the student experience by providing high-quality reception, administration and campus support services within a dynamic and student-centred environment.
This is a full-time, ongoing position based primarily at ECU Joondalup Campus.
The ECU Student Guild is an independent not-for-profit organisation that represents and supports ECU student members. We provide a range of services, facilities, advocacy, events and opportunities that enhance student life and foster a strong sense of community across ECU campuses.
As the Campus Support Officer, you will be the first point of contact for students, visitors and stakeholders engaging with the Guild.
You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Guild's reception, student spaces and administrative functions while delivering friendly, professional and responsive customer service.
The position is responsible for maintaining welcoming and well-presented student areas, coordinating supplies and resources, supporting operational activities, and providing administrative assistance across the organisation.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in creating organised and welcoming environments, and can confidently manage a variety of administrative responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reception & Customer Service
Answer and direct incoming calls, correspondence and email enquiries.
Ensure all students and visitors are greeted in a friendly, professional and welcoming manner.
Assess members’ requirements and resolve or refer to relevant operational staff and Senate
members for ongoing assistance/support.
Facilitate the sale of Guild merchandise and other products as required.
Undertake stocktaking and reconciliation of merchandise and operational supplies as required.
Act as the primary reception contact for the Guild during operating hours.
Campus Support
Ensure reception, student lounge, kitchen and other Guild-managed student spaces are maintained
to a high standard at all times.
Coordinate purchasing and restocking of kitchen, stationery and other operational supplies.
Facilitate purchasing of goods and services as directed.
Receive deliveries and coordinate distribution of goods and supplies.
Support Work Health and Safety requirements across Guild-managed spaces.
Administrative Support
Provide administrative support to Operational staff.
Maintain manual and electronic filing systems and organisational records.
Undertake record-keeping and archiving duties as directed.
Manage room bookings and office bookings as required.
Coordinate maintenance and servicing of office equipment and facilities.
Manage postage and courier requirements for the organisation.
Organise catering requirements for meetings, events and functions.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
Certificate in Business Administration, Customer Service or a related discipline; or
An equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in a reception, administration or customer service environment.
Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A high level of attention to detail.
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
The ability to build positive working relationships with students, staff and stakeholders.
Current C Class Driver's Licence.
Experience working within a not-for-profit, community or membership-based organisation.
Experience supporting student-facing services, community facilities or customer service environments.
Familiarity with workplace health and safety practices.
Additional 3% employer superannuation contribution above the Superannuation Guarantee.
15 days Personal/Carer's Leave per year.
2 Wellness Days annually.
