THE ROLE

Dowsing Group is actively seeking applications from suitably experienced Civil Estimators, with a strong interest in joining our growing team.

This role will report directly to the Estimating Manager. 

This role is Perth WA based.

ABOUT THE ROLE: 

• Conduct analysis, preparation, and follow-up of tender submissions, bids, quotes, and other cost-related proposals promptly, while collaborating closely with client leaders, key stakeholders, and internal senior management

• Participating in site visits and tender meetings to gain an understanding of the scope of works to better apply the tender strategy

• Presenting clear and accurate information for tender reviews and quotes

• Developing and sustaining historical cost information, comprehensive libraries, templates, and current knowledge in civil construction

• Ensuring bids are delivered to a high standard, offering value but remaining consistent with the Group’s ability to deliver

• Ensuring relevant commercials are adhered to during tender submission, bid, and quote process

ABOUT YOU:

• Minimum 5 years Civil Estimating experience

• Knowledge of construction processes, operations, and methodologies

• A proven background managing successful tenders up to $10 million

• Strong commercial acumen

• Advanced problem-solving skills

• Good communication skills

• Possess a commitment to safety policies and procedures

• Have a great work ethic, can-do attitude and willingness to learn

• Capable to provide competitive estimates based on first principles from the inception of a project

• Be able to successfully undertake a pre-employment medical

• Meet suitable National Police Check (NPC) requirements 

• Tertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying or similar

• Desirable - Previous exposure to Benchmark or other similar estimating software
