About the role
We are looking for a Full-time Trainer & Assessor to join our amazing team at Equip-Safe located in Welshpool.
You'll be responsible for delivery and assessment of training including elevated work platform, work safely at heights and white card, supervision and monitoring of our students to ensure the best possible learning environment is provided.
Your duties and responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver quality training
Deliver both classroom and practical training and assessment
Identify training needs and develop training programs
Design and assist in the manufacturing of training aids
Update and improve assessment methods and material
Conduct assessments, improve and develop assessment material
Perform simulated workplace assessments for internal and external clients
Monitor and provide support services to students
Supervise students attending Equip-Safe Training facilities
What you'll need to succeed:
Essential:
Hold TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or latest equivalent qualification
Current Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain)
Hold Certificate of Registration as an Assessor for the following HRWL classes – WP and LF
Hold the following units of competency:
TLILIC0003 – Licence to operate a forklift truck
TLILIC0005 – Licence to operate a boom type elevating work platform (length 11 meters or more)
RIIWHS204E – Work Safely at Heights
HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
RIIHAN301E Operate Elevating Work Platform or equivalent competency
An in-depth understanding, and recent working knowledge of safe work practices, training and assessment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to impact knowledge and skills
Strong desire to instruct students in a training environment
Well-developed time management and organisational skills
Desirable:
Plant machinery (load shifting) equipment experience
CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
CPCCCM3001 Operate elevated work platforms up to 11 metres
