Casual Chef

Peregians' Cafe is a busy all-day breakfast and lunch spot in the heart of Peregian Springs, with a handful of baked goods made fresh on site. We're looking for a Casual Chef to join our kitchen and work alongside our Cafe Chef, keeping service fast, consistent and well-loved by our regulars.

THE ROLE

• Casual position, approximately 30 hours per week
• Extra shifts available during busy holiday periods
• Reports to and supports our Cafe Chef
• Hands-on role across breakfast and lunch service in a genuinely busy kitchen

YOUR WEEKLY SCHEDULE

• Monday: full day
• Thursday: 2pm - 6pm
• Friday: 2pm - 6pm
• Saturday: full day
• No evenings, no Sundays and no public holidays - this roster stays the same all year round

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
• A Commercial Cookery qualification (Certificate III or equivalent)
• A steady head during a busy service and a genuine team-first attitude
• Pride in consistency - our regulars notice when a plate isn't quite right
