The Executive Director of Catholic Education Western Australia Limited (CEWA) invites applications for the Principalship role at St Clare’s School based in Lathlain commencing 1 January 2027.

St Clare's School is a Catholic secondary CARE (Curriculum and Re-engagement in Education) school dedicated to supporting girls who face barriers to engaging in mainstream education. Guided by the Good Shepherd tradition and inspired by the motto, "One person is of more value than a world" (Saint Mary Euphrasia), the school is committed to nurturing the dignity, wellbeing, and potential of every student.

Founded by the Good Shepherd Sisters in 1956, St Clare's provides a safe, inclusive, and personalised learning environment where students are supported to re-engage with education and achieve success. Through trauma-informed practice, therapeutic support, individualised learning plans, and a strong focus on literacy, numeracy, and wellbeing, the school empowers young women to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.

• Strengthens a culture of belonging and collaboration where student and staff voice is valued and all members of the community feel safe, respected and supported.

Stewardship 

• Exercises prudent and transparent stewardship of resources to sustain and strengthen the distinctive mission and purpose of St Clare's School.
• Builds staff capability and wellbeing through professional trust, shared leadership and a commitment to supporting those who serve young people with complex needs.

Selection Criteria:

• Practising Catholic and experienced educator committed to Catholic Education.
• Accredited for Leadership of a Catholic School Community or equivalent.
• A collaborative and future-focused leader who understands and supports the strategic priorities of the broader Catholic Education system. 
• A relevant Master’s degree (or working towards completion) with the ability to apply advanced leadership and management principles to both the day-to-day and long-term leadership of a school is highly desirable.
• Current Teacher Registration for Western Australia (TRBWA).
• Current WA Working with Children Check (WA WWCC).
