Business Development Manager - Icon Cancer Centre, Hollywood

About the Role:
We currently have an opportunity available for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team for an initial 3-month contract period. The primary purpose of this role is to support and promote the development and delivery of effective, patient and customer focused business development at for molecular imaging and therapy, whilst working closely with the Site Manager and Icon Doctors. The BDM will identify activities to support business growth with a primary focus on building specialist and local community awareness of Icon Cancer Centre Hollywood.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Development

• Actively market our Icon Cancer Centre services to key specialists.
• Development and implementation of business development plans.

Strategic Planning

• Maintain detailed information on existing referral sources and provide regular reports on trends in referrals, including appropriate action to address any negative trends.
• Contribute to the development of the division’s strategic and operational plan.

Relationship Building

• Support the Site Manager and team to ensure effective recruitment strategies are in place to grow and attract key specialities/specialists in line with Icon Cancer Centre strategy.
• Improve patient referrals by promotion of individual medical practitioners and services, including introductions and establishment of forums to build relationships with referrers or potential referrers.

Marketing and Communications

• In collaboration with Icon’s Brand & Communication team, ensure first class multi-channelled marketing strategies are in place for Icon services and referrers.
• Improve professional networks with doctors, other health service providers and appropriate organisations through joint promotional activities, social programs and educational programs to attract and recruit doctors and patient referrals.
• Lead the business development planning and local execution for the promotion and launch of new service initiatives, working collaboratively with Brand & Communication team to develop and execute supportive campaigns and collateral.

Skills & Experience:
Highly Desired:

• Experience with business development strategies within a private healthcare environment specifically Oncology and imaging
• Evidence of success in initiating/facilitating business growth strategies.
• Proven sales and negotiations experience which is data driven and achieves outcomes in line with targets and budgets.
• Success in identifying new opportunities and developing new markets in line with organisational strategy.
• Experience in the Health Sector, Marketing or Sales.

Mandatory:

• Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business or a Health-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• A current open driver’s licence.
