Shape the future of governance, risk and resilience at UniSQ.
This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished governance professional to lead and enhance the University's risk, compliance and insurance functions. As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you will play a strategic role in strengthening organisational resilience, supporting informed decision-making and safeguarding the University's people, assets and reputation. Working across a diverse and complex institution, you'll have the opportunity to drive meaningful change, influence key decisions and help shape a strong culture of accountability, compliance and continuous improvement.
Who you are
You are a strategic and collaborative leader with extensive experience in risk management, compliance and insurance governance within a large and complex organisation. You thrive in environments where sound judgement, proactive problem-solving and strong stakeholder engagement are essential to organisational success.
You are equally comfortable providing trusted advice to senior leaders and governance bodies as you are leading capability development and fostering a culture of accountability, resilience and continuous improvement. With exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups, you are motivated by the opportunity to strengthen governance practices and support organisational sustainability.
What you'll do
As the Senior Manager (Risk, Compliance and Insurance), you will provide strategic leadership across the University's risk, compliance and insurance functions, helping to ensure informed decision-making, regulatory compliance and organisational resilience.
Working closely with senior leaders across the institution, you will lead the ongoing development and enhancement of the University's Risk Management and Compliance Frameworks, oversee enterprise risk management processes, and provide expert advice on emerging risks, governance obligations and insurance matters. You will play a key role in strengthening organisational capability through risk workshops, training initiatives and practical guidance that supports effective risk and compliance management.

Salary: Total remuneration range $172,093 to $190,759 pa (includes salary range of $145,135 to 160,876 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
