About Us:
At ST Spatial, we have been serving our clients with quality land and engineering surveying services since 2008. Based in our newly refurbished Balcatta office, we deliver precise survey services for civil, construction, and infrastructure projects across Western Australia. Position Overview:
As an Engineering Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting a variety of engineering, construction, and topographic surveys to support project delivery. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure accurate data collection, plan preparation, and site set-out. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Surveying
Perform engineering, construction, and topographic surveys, including:
Earthworks surveying
Civil concrete surveying
Feature and contour surveys
As-constructed surveys
Building/construction surveys
Control surveys
Infrastructure and Pipeline projects:
Calculate alignments for pipelines and other infrastructure
Conduct ground surveys
Civil construction projects:
Prepare road designs for field set out and machine control systems.
Calculate volumes and area quantities to support accurate project planning and execution.
Revise designs to adapt to evolving site conditions.
Ensure compliance with Main Roads WA specifications for deliverables.
Data Management and Plan Preparation
Record and process accurate field data using modern surveying equipment and software.
Prepare digital models, plans, and reports using AutoCAD, LisCAD, or other relevant software.
Ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Client Liaison and Satisfaction
Work closely with engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure seamless workflow.
Communicate survey findings clearly to the construction team.
Provide guidance to junior surveyors and field assistants as needed.
Key Duties:
Conduct site surveys for land, construction, and engineering projects.
Establish control points, levels, and alignments on-site for construction teams.
Take accurate measurements using total stations, GPS, and other surveying tools.
Analyse and process collected data using surveying software.
Assist in generating maps, plans, and technical reports for project teams.
Verify supplied plans against project specifications and designs.
Follow industry regulations and company procedures in all surveying activities.
Maintain survey equipment and report any faults.
Identify and resolve discrepancies between survey data and construction plans.
Skills and Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Surveying.
2+ years experience in a similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and organisational skills
