About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Early Childhood Compliance Officer to join our leadership team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring our service maintains ongoing compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, Education and Care Services National Regulations, National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS), Child Safe Standards, and all other relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Approved Provider, Centre Director and leadership team to develop, monitor and maintain effective compliance systems, identify areas of risk, conduct regular internal audits, and implement strategies that support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular compliance audits across all areas of the service.
Monitor compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations.
Ensure required records, registers and documentation are accurate, complete and maintained in accordance with legislative requirements.
Review and maintain policies, procedures and compliance systems.
Identify compliance risks and develop corrective action plans.
Support the service's readiness for regulatory authority visits, investigations and Assessment and Rating.
Monitor compliance with Child Safe Standards and mandatory reporting obligations.
Review incidents, complaints and notifications to ensure legislative compliance.
Monitor staffing compliance, educator qualifications, Working with Children Checks and mandatory training requirements.
Assist with Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide guidance and support to leadership and educators on compliance obligations.
Prepare compliance reports and provide recommendations to the Approved Provider and leadership team.
Maintain a proactive approach to legislative changes and communicate updates to the team.
