About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced, passionate and professional Clinician to join our Courage Project team in Mackay. This is a full time position on a fixed term basis until the end of June 2027.
About The Courage Project Team:
The Courage Project provides trauma informed mental health services for children under 14 years of age in North Qld (Mackay, Whitsunday and Isaac Regions) who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing physical and/or sexual abuse/assault, family violence and self-harm. The team’s professionalism is matched by their warmth, compassion, and collaborative spirit. They consistently provide exceptional support to both their clients and one another.
About the Clinician role:
You will be responsible for providing counselling through face-to-face, telephone and/or online sessions, conducting psychological and other assessments, maintaining detailed case notes, and ensuring your practice is consistently of the highest standard. You will also need to compile concise and professional reports and attend regular supervision meetings. This role is also required to complete fortnightly overnight outreach trips to the Isaac and Whitsunday regions.
