Dental Assistant

About the role

Skye Dental is seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. This is a full-time role based in Capalaba, Queensland, supporting our dedicated dental team and delivering exceptional patient experiences.

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining accurate patient records and updating electronic dental software

• Providing exceptional customer service to ensure patients have a positive experience

• Collaborating with the dental team to ensure the smooth running of the practice

• Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing equipment, instruments, and materials

• Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment

• Providing chairside assistance to dentists, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow

• Greeting and welcoming patients, and ensuring a positive patient experience

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records

• Performing general administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing inventory

What we're looking for

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team

• Excellent organisation and time management skills with attention to detail

• Proficiency in using dental practice management software (exact experience is highly advantageous)

• A friendly, professional, and empathetic demeanor when interacting with patients

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately

• Comfortable working as part of a team, as well as independently

• Excellent time management and multitasking skills

• A genuine passion for healthcare and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
