The Role

We're seeking experienced Maintenance Electricians to join our team in permanent, full-time positions on either our Afternoon or Night Shift.

Shift OptionsAfternoon Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm (15% shift loading)Night Shift: Monday to Friday, 10:00 pm - 6:00 am (30% shift loading)In this hands-on role, you'll work with modern manufacturing equipment and a supportive team environment, providing critical electrical maintenance and troubleshooting support across the site. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact by improving equipment reliability, minimising downtime and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational excellence.

Our Smithfield site in Western Sydney, manufactures a range of more than 60 fruit juice, fruit drink and water ice products. The site currently manufactures approximately 110 million litres of finished goods every year, including The Juice Brothers, Daily Juice, Mildura and Zooper Dooper.

ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and troubleshoot equipment and electrical systems, responding to breakdowns in a timely and practical wayPerform preventative maintenance to improve performance and reduce downtimeSupport and guide team members by sharing knowledge and coaching safe equipment useEnsure all work is completed in line with engineering, safety, and food quality standardsContribute to continuous improvement and safety initiatives, helping build a strong site cultureAbout youFully licensed Electrician with experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong problem‑solving skills, with experience in root cause analysisKnowledge of automation systems including PLCs, SCADA, and industrial networksConfident in fault‑finding and troubleshooting across electrical systemsAble to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and P&IDsBega Group Story
