Rice Queen is Fitzroy's premiere cocktail bar, function venue & “Pan-Asian-Fusion” restaurant, from casual drinks & dining to big functions & events.  

We are passionate about our food, our cocktails & our staff, and ensure each guest that walks through our door has the most amazing and memorable Rice Queen experience at our stunning venue. 

About the role

We seek passionate, professional & experienced hospitality staff who can work across all aspects of our front of house business - most importantly, ensuring guests have an outstanding and positive experience (because of YOU) whilst you're on the venue floor; greeting and seating guests, running a section of tables, taking orders, building rapport, delivering food & beverages, upselling or behind the bar shaking tins & curating beautiful cocktails - and having fun with the rest of the team!

Note: evening and weekend availability and a current RSA is a must. The most important stuff though… a super positive can-do attitude, a willingness to work hard for tips, to make customers smile and support and grow our business.

Skills and experience

We‘d love to hear from everyone - but if you have plenty of hospo experience (working in busy restaurants), have the ability to work under pressure and have some amazing sales skills, then step to the front of the line. 

Above all else, you need to be confident and have amazing customer service experience. You must be trustworthy, honest, energetic, professional, hard working, hands on & a team player.
