Activities Attendant

Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef is located in the heart of Queensland’s Whitsunday Islands and the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef.  With stunning views out to the impossibly blue waters of the Whitsundays, it is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the island. 

The island is one of the closest Whitsunday islands to the mainland (Airlie Beach) with spectacular 30-minute ferry ride to work each day.

We’re looking for energetic, outgoing Activities Attendant to join our fun-loving team! Whether you love water sports, keeping guests safe as a lifeguard, or creating magical moments for kids—this role lets you do it all in one incredible location.

What you will be doing:

• Bringing the fun and delivering unforgettable guest experiences
• Leading and assisting with a range of activities including water sports, games, and island experiences
• Supervising and engaging children in our Kids Club with creativity and care
• Monitoring guest safety in aquatic environments as a qualified lifeguard
• Setting up, packing down, and maintaining activity equipment
• Answering guest questions and sharing your local knowledge of the island

• A positive, energetic attitude and love for working with people
• Confidence in the water and passion for outdoor activities
• A natural ability to engage with both adults and children
• Strong awareness of safety and guest wellbeing
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekend

The must haves: 

• Current First Aid & CPR 
• Pool Lifeguard Certificate (SISSS001033) -- essential for lifeguard duties
• Current QLD Coxswain 3 qualification - highly regarded
• Previous experience in hospitality, recreation, childcare or tourism is desireable
• Australian working rights
