About The Role

Position

We are looking for an energetic and suitably skilled individual to join our Trades and Services team to help us continue to provide a high level of service to our community.

In this hands-on role, you’ll be part of a skilled and supportive team delivering a wide range of construction, maintenance and inspection works across Council-owned buildings and facilities. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring our infrastructure remains safe, functional and well-presented for the community.

You will contribute to the upkeep and improvement of a diverse portfolio including council offices, community halls, parks, public amenities, cultural centres, libraries, swimming pools and surf life saving facilities.

To be successful you will bring

Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council’s values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.Class MR driver licence (or willingness to obtain), with a good and safe driving record.Demonstrated experience in performing a range of general labouring and maintenance duties in the building industry.Work Safely in the Construction Industry Induction ticket (white card).Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain).Experience and ability to work at heights.Ability and willingness to work on call in accordance with roster requirements.
