Housekeeping Supervisor (Part time/ Full time)

About the role

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure guest rooms and common areas are cleaned to the required hotel standards. You will lead and support housekeeping team members, inspect completed rooms, coordinate daily workloads and assist with room cleaning when operationally required.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate rooms and daily duties to housekeeping team members.

• Supervise, guide and support the housekeeping team throughout each shift.

• Inspect guest rooms and ensure all work meets the hotel's quality standards.

• Monitor productivity, attendance and completion times.

• Clean and service guest rooms when required.

• Assist in guest-facing and common areas when necessary.

• Report maintenance issues, damages, lost property and operational concerns.

• Monitor linen, amenities, chemicals and housekeeping supplies.

• Address cleaning issues promptly and arrange rectification where required.

• Maintain accurate records, reports and inspection documentation.

About you

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory or team leader position.

• Strong knowledge of hotel room-cleaning procedures and quality standards.

• Excellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to quality.

• The confidence and ability to lead, motivate and support a diverse team.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• Effective time-management and organisational skills.

• The ability to manage pressure and meet strict room-release deadlines.

• A practical, solutions-focused approach to operational challenges.

• Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

• Legal right to work in Australia.
