Bring one of Australia’s most dynamic arts and cultural brands to life. Carriageworks is seeking a talented and creative Multimedia Designer to lead the development of visually compelling content across digital, social, print and onsite channels. From producing eye-catching campaigns and engaging social content to creating photography, video, motion graphics and event signage, you’ll play a key role in shaping how audiences experience Carriageworks and its world-class artistic program.
Working as part of a passionate Marketing and Communications team, you’ll collaborate across programming, partnerships, development and production to deliver impactful creative solutions that drive audience engagement and strengthen brand awareness. This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile designer and content creator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to see their work come to life across major festivals, exhibitions, performances and precinct-wide events.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create engaging graphic design, video, photography and digital content that brings the Carriageworks brand to life across multiple channels.
- Develop and deliver creative assets for marketing campaigns, social media, advertising, events, partnerships and audience engagement initiatives.
- Produce and edit high-quality video content, motion graphics and social media content to support storytelling and audience growth.
- Design signage, wayfinding and visual collateral for major events, festivals and precinct-wide activations.
- Manage creative projects from concept through to delivery, coordinating internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with teams across programming, development, venue partnerships and production to deliver audience-focused creative solutions.
- Maintain brand consistency across all visual communications while contributing fresh ideas and staying informed of emerging creative trends and technologies.

PREFERRED CRITERIA
- Certification in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media or a related field or 3+ years of equivalent professional experience
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design, editing video content for social media, digital marketing campaigns and brand storytelling
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong creative thinking, attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand consistency.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends on Events when required.
