$37.36 per hour

Fit for Work

Join us in delivering our impactful 10-week program, Fit for Work! This program aims to reconnect disengaged young people with valuable employment opportunities. As a Youth Worker, you will facilitate group sessions focusing on employability and life skills, helping participants develop the confidence and capabilities needed to thrive in the workplace.

About You

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate group sessions focused on employability and life skills
• Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to program participants
• Collaborate with employers and community organizations to generate employment opportunities
• Assist in recruitment efforts and program promotion
• Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing support throughout the program duration
• Maintain case notes, records and administrative information in order to complete program milestone and case note reporting in accordance with program standards
• Attend weekly P.D and program team meetings to contribute towards program evaluation processes. Scheduling the fit for work program and participants, planning and preparing resources, and overseeing and participating in the program. 
• Facilitate delivery of Fit for work in compliance with funder metrics, performance measurements and ensuring the program fits within budget/funding provisions
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes to ensure the program is impactful
• Performance monitoring and reporting of the program
• Key focus on community safety through skill building and behaviour change and capability build.
• Support the delivery of planned outcomes by providers, including program development, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Provide knowledge and expertise in focus areas for successful program delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum Certificate IV in Youth Work or relevant qualification
• Experience in program facilitation
• Demonstrated experience in youth work
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to engage and motivate young people
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young individuals
