With our clientele rapidly growing each year, we are hoping to find a young, enthusiastic accountant assistant to join our family.

About You

You’re a passionate, outgoing individual who can complete tasks both on your own AND in a team, and you can easily work in a fast-paced environment. You have completed a degree or qualification in accounting, have fantastic English skills, and are an Australian Resident.

Key Functions of the role

• Preparing workpapers for income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSF's from either Xero, MYOB, or Quickbooks

• Preparing business activity statements and instalment activity statements for accountants from client software or manual workbooks.

• Maintain and update Asset Register including depreciation and reconcile to general ledger

• Reconciling and maintaining business records and transactions

• Liaising with the ATO and other government bodies where required

• Responding to client queries in a timely, accurate and thoughtful manner

• Following up with Client bookkeeping deadlines to ensure the accounts are finalised for financial reporting by the due dates

• Review and pay superannuation liabilities by the due date for clients

Ideally you will have;

• Experience in preparation/lodgement of income tax returns and BAS’s

• Intermediate level Microsoft Office – Excel

• Experience with hands-on bookkeeping/payroll/accounting, including BAS and other taxation reporting

• High-level numeracy and reconciliation skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with figures

• Demonstrated the ability to meet deadlines

• The ability work in a fast paced, high energy environment

• Completed a degree or certification in accounting

• Be a resident of Australia

• Great communications skills, both verbal and written
