Civil Operations Manager

About the Role

Reporting to senior management, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the civil division, supporting Project Managers, Site Supervisors and site teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and profitably.

You will:

• Oversee multiple civil projects and operational activities
• Lead and support Project Managers, Site Supervisors and crews
• Coordinate labour, plant, equipment, materials and subcontractors
• Monitor project performance, costs, productivity and resources
• Ensure WHS, environmental and quality standards are maintained
• Identify and resolve operational and project challenges
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
• Drive accountability, efficiency and continuous improvement
• Assist with estimating, tendering and project planning
• Support the continued development and growth of Civil as a key part of the business

  About You

You're an experienced civil operator and leader who takes pride in quality work and team performance.

You will have:

• Relevant civil construction qualification or trade background
• White Card - Construction Induction (essential)
• 10+ years' experience in civil construction, in senior leadership roles
• Proven experience in civil project or operations management
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, plant and project delivery
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing multiple projects
• Strong understanding of WHS, environmental and quality requirements
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Strong commercial, budgeting and cost-control understanding
• Current Driver's Licence - HR Licence highly regarded
• Confidence using digital reporting and project management tools, including MS Office, Excel and Microsoft Project and Procore
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
