Join the friendly and supportive Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit (BIRU) at Liverpool Hospital as a Level 3 Occupational Therapist at Head 2 Work as a Driver Trained OT. This is an exciting opportunity to work with people recovering from traumatic and acquired brain injuries, providing specialised driving assessments. You will play an important role within a multidisciplinary team, helping patients achieve meaningful outcomes while contributing to service development and clinical excellence.
Provide specialised occupational therapy assessments to patients with traumatic and acquired brain injuries Support patients through assessment, rehabilitation, planning to reach meaningful patient centred goals. Liaise with insurers to facilitate access to assessment, treatment and rehabilitation Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, families, and external service providers Contribute to quality improvement, education, and the ongoing development of the service

We're looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist who enjoys working in a specialised rehabilitation setting and is passionate about helping people achieve their recovery goals.
Experience working with patients with traumatic and acquired brain injuries Advanced clinical reasoning skills and the ability to manage complex caseloads Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams Knowledge of, or experience working with, NDIS, Lifetime Care and Support, or other funding schemes Commitment to quality improvement, professional development, and evidence based practice
Selection Criteria

Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and significant experience in the provision of occupational therapy services within Neurological Rehabilitation.Demonstrated clinical skills and experience in the provision of Occupational Therapy Driving assessment and remediation services OR eligibility to complete Driving assessment training course.Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
