AARCO Environmental Solutions is a proudly Indigenous-owned and family-operated Western Australian contractor specialising in Asbestos and Hazardous-Material Removal, Demolition, Waste Management and Environmental Remediation.

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Trades Assistant to join our Karratha team. This hands-on role will support our supervisors and tradespeople across Demolition, Environmental and Maintenance projects throughout the Pilbara.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist tradespeople and supervisors with daily site activities

• Prepare work areas, tools, materials and equipment

• Undertake general labouring and demolition-support duties

• Assist with loading, unloading and moving materials

• Support site establishment, fencing and dust-suppression activities

• Assist with waste handling, segregation and site clean-up

• Operate hand and power tools within your level of competency

• Complete pre-starts, Take 5s and other site documentation

• Follow SWMS, site procedures and supervisor instructions

• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Is physically fit and comfortable undertaking hands-on work

• Is reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team

• Has a strong commitment to workplace health and safety

• Can follow instructions and complete assigned work efficiently

• Is willing to work outdoors in Pilbara conditions

• Is available to travel to regional and remote project sites when required

• Is willing to complete training and obtain additional licences

Previous experience in construction, demolition, mining, maintenance or environmental services would be highly regarded; however, training can be provided to the right applicant.

Essential Requirements

• Current Australian driver’s licence

• Construction White Card

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening

• Australian working rights

Desirable Qualifications

• Rio Tinto SAP & Pegasus Number

• Class A or Class B Asbestos Removal

• Working at Heights

• Confined Space Entry

• Forklift, EWP or other High-Risk Work Licence

• HR or MR driver’s licence

• First Aid certificate

• Previous mine-site or industrial experience
