Parts and Warehouse Advisor

As a Parts Advisor, you’ll play an important role in keeping our customers and workshop moving! Based in our Kalgoorlie branch, you’ll enjoy a varied role combining parts interpreting and customer service with hands-on responsibilities.

You’ll assist customers and the Service Department with interpreting market leading brands such as Detroit, MTU, Western Star, MAN, Meritor and Donaldson. Growing your own capabilities with in house and external training opportunities while growing the business.

We specialise in Mining, Transport, Power Generation, Marine and Defence. If you enjoy working within Australia’s key market segments Penske is for you.

About the Role

• Provide professional parts interpretation and customer service via phone, email and trade counter enquiries.
• Identify and supply the correct parts efficiently and accurately.
• Drive parts sales through upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
• Manage customer backorders and provide proactive updates.
• Assist with inventory control, stock replenishment and stock takes.
• Support merchandising and promotion of aftermarket and genuine parts product lines.
• Work collaboratively with workshop and sales teams to ensure customer needs are met.

About you

• Previous experience in parts, warehousing or a similar environment is desirable.
• Basic understanding of parts warehousing principles.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn and use parts and inventory systems.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to accurately receive, check and process stock and orders.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and complete basic mathematical calculations accurately.
• Able to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
