Residential Facility Chef

About the role

Pathways Killara Gardens is a luxury Residential Aged Care provider. Currently we are looking for Residential Facility Chefs to join our catering team at Killara NSW 2071.

This is a permanent part-time position, with regular shifts scheduled from Wednesday to Sunday.

Our chefs are responsible for the delivery of quality food to residents. Chefs ensure high standards in food preparation and presentation, efficient and timely food delivery and cleanliness of the kitchen. Our staff must meet Aged Care and Hospitality standards.

Skills and experience

The applicant must have:

• Certificate IV in commercial cookery

• Working in aged or health care an advantage

• Good practice in WHS, food safety, Infection Control, complaints handling

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

• Good time management

• Creative culinary skills

• Computer literacy an advantage

• Minimum 2 years of professional cooking experience required

All prospective employees are required to provide the following documentation:

• Current Police Check

• NDIS Worker Clearance

• 3 doses of Covid Vaccine and Flu Vaccine

• Valid Australian work authorisation or visa documentation
