About the role

Work in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment. Prepare a variety of handcrafted Ready-to-Go food selections and assist Chefs with a variety of menu items. Day shifts only within a 7 day roster.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of handcrafted Ready-to-Go food selections - sandwiches, rolls, wraps, salads & more

• Assist Chefs with a variety of menu items

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen

About you

• Currently working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a kitchen

• Attention to detail

• Experience with breakfast and lunch preparation, including grilled items, salads, and café-style dishes

• Flexibility to work Monday – Sunday, primarily on weekends, school holidays and some public holidays, between hours of 6.00 am to 3.00 pm

• A positive and professional attitude

• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding kitchen environment

• Excellent food hygiene practices

• Hold or be willing to obtain a Food Safety Certificate

• Must have the right to work in Australia

About us

The Crooked Carrot is a family owned Café in Myalup Western Australia, situated on Forrest Highway, 1.5 hours south of Perth, at the gateway to the Southwest region. The Café & pristine grounds/playground has quickly become a well-known destination in the region. The Café is open for breakfast and lunch 7 days a week, with kitchen hours from 6.00am to 2.30pm every day.

Casual or full-time position is available. Remuneration is dependent on the successful candidate’s qualification and experience level.
