We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Account Manager to manage and grow a defined portfolio of Business Plus customers. This role is critical to maintaining strong customer relationships that drive revenue growth, customer advocacy and long-term business success for both our customers and Telstra.

Focus of the role

As an Account Manager, you will be the trusted advisor for a portfolio of Business Plus customers, helping them achieve their goals through telecommunications, ICT and cyber security solutions. By combining exceptional communication, strong commercial capability and a passion for customer success, you will deliver outstanding customer experiences, drive sustainable portfolio growth and contribute to the continued success of the Telstra Business Technology Centre.

About the role

• Customer Satisfaction & Customer Success
  • Develop trusted relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Gain a deep understanding of each customer’s business, objectives and challenges.
  • Conduct proactive account reviews and customer engagement activities.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences that drive satisfaction, loyalty and advocacy.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, service requests and escalations.
  • Partner with customers to help them make informed technology decisions.
  • Collaborate with technical specialists, project delivery teams and support functions to deliver seamless outcomes.

• Sales & Portfolio Growth
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of Business Plus customers.
  • Identify opportunities across telecommunications, mobility, internet, networking, cloud, collaboration, managed services and cyber security solutions.
  • Conduct business needs analysis to uncover customer challenges and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain account plans that support customer retention and growth.
  • Generate, qualify and progress opportunities through the full sales lifecycle.
  • Meet individual sales, revenue and performance targets.

• Operational Excellence
  • Maintain accurate customer records, account plans and pipeline management activities.
  • Ensure customer interactions and opportunities are documented accurately.
  • Deliver high-quality portfolio management and customer governance.
  • Meet customer contact and activity expectations.
  • Contribute positively to team objectives, culture and performance outcomes.

About you

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) sales, account management or business development.
• Proven experience managing customer relationships and achieving sales targets.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational, planning and time management capability.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with customers and stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen and customer-focused mindset.
