Maintenance Supervisor

Are you an experienced maintenance leader ready to take ownership of day-to-day maintenance execution within a large, fast-paced manufacturing operation?

Greenmountain is seeking a capable and accountable Maintenance Supervisor to join our Coominya beef processing facility.

This is a permanent full-time role responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, leading the maintenance team and supporting safe, reliable plant performance.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Current unrestricted Australian work rights

• Current Driver’s Licence

• Relevant mechanical trade qualification

• Minimum two years’ maintenance supervisory or leadership experience

• Previous experience in food manufacturing or meat processing

• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical capability

• Experience with planned maintenance scheduling, breakdown coordination and work-order management

• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills

• Sound knowledge of contractor management, permits, isolation and lockout/tagout requirements

• Flexibility to work varying hours and support operational requirements when needed

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will coordinate and supervise day-to-day maintenance activities at Greenmountain’s Coominya site.

The facility is a large, fast-paced beef processing operation incorporating complex mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, boiler, rendering and production equipment.

This is primarily a supervisory role, although hands-on support may be required during critical breakdowns, complex repairs or periods of high maintenance demand.

• Allocate labour and prioritise planned and reactive maintenance work

• Coordinate breakdown response and minimise plant downtime

• Manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules and outstanding maintenance backlog

• Monitor maintenance KPIs, work quality and team performance

• Lead employee performance, conduct, training and development in conjunction with HR

• Support recruitment, onboarding and probation management

• Coordinate contractors, permits, isolations and safe work controls

• Enforce WHS, food safety, hygiene and statutory requirements

• Monitor spare-parts requirements and raise purchase requests

• Support root-cause analysis and corrective action for recurring failures

• Assist with minor projects, plant upgrades and commissioning activities

• Report maintenance performance, risks, priorities and resource requirements

• Work closely with Production, WHS, Quality and other operational departments

Greenmountain uses MEX. Previous MEX or other CMMS experience will be beneficial.

Regular on-site presence is required, with flexibility based on plant operations, maintenance demands and breakdowns. There is also potential for future participation in an on-call roster.
